Discipline is a new publication celebrating the most interesting makers of film, art, fashion, design, interiors, music, dining and more. The brilliant award winning agency Blink came to us to help establish their own self published title and position it so that it could be distributed to independent books stores and galleries as well as sent direct to agencies, clients and collaborators. The idea was to create something that was packed full of great content so it had longevity and sold at a low price point so it felt very accessible.
For Issue 2, the Fun Issue, we continued the theme of featuring ‘makers and craftsmanship’ on the cover and used one of a series of 3D modelled sculptures of famous people (this one is Susan Boyle) by the talented Carl Burgess. We upped the spec of the magazine, with a full high gloss cover, doubling the page count and adding a spine to reflect the amount and quality of the content. Features included an interview with a Hollywood Stunt Man, a shoot with French Actress Ariane Labed in a launderette and a showcase of some of the great people Blink collaborate with.
