The Day The Factory Died is an exhibition of never seen before photographs by Christophe Von Hohenberg taken in 1987 at Andy Warhol’s memorial service.
The exhibition also brings together letters from the memorial and is accompanied by a Bible-like book featuring celebrities from the worlds of Hollywood, Fashion, Pop Music, International Society and Art. Our invitation followed the memorial theme featuring, on the outside, an image of the Cathedral where the service had taken place, with the exhibition title typeset and gold foiled in Times Condensed. The layout and typesetting of the information inside continued the formality and seriousness of the memorial theme, highlighting the ‘event’ that even Warhol’s death became.
