Ana Zaragoza’s large pixelated oil paintings cover a variety of themes from street scenes to cultural icons. A series depicting Chassidic Jews at the wailing wall was featured in her first solo London show on prestigious Cork Street.
For the exhibition catalogue and invitation we set Ana’s name using a condensed heavy cut of Bodini that picked up on the blocky weight of the pixels in the works and set a high-end formal tone for the event. The catalogue followed a simple formal set of rules; it was printed and foiled in black and white and the logotype was repeated on the cover, super gloss end paper and title page. A simple grid set a maximum width for the images, meaning that large and small paintings could reflect the effect of viewing them up close and at distance.
